About
About jsons.site
A suite of browser-first JSON tools built on one belief: your data should never need a server.
Why this site exists.
Working with JSON is part of nearly every developer's day, and most online JSON tools ask you to paste your document into a server you know nothing about. That trade-off is unnecessary: modern browsers can parse, diff, convert and validate JSON faster than any upload round-trip. jsons.site exists to make the private option the convenient option — a fullsuite of 11 JSON toolsthat are free, instant, and run entirely on your device.
What we optimize for.
Privacy by architecture.
Client-side processing isn't a marketing line — it's how every tool is built, and the privacy policy spells out exactly what that means.
Speed without a server.
Static pages, self-hosted fonts, no third-party scripts — the interface responds as fast as your machine allows, with excellent Core Web Vitals by default.
Standards, not approximations.
JSON per RFC 8259, JSONPath per RFC 9535, JSON Schema drafts validated with Ajv, and semantic diffing that understands structure instead of comparing text.
Free, with no catch.
No accounts, no usage limits, no watermarks, no ads. Every tool ships the same features to everyone.
How the site is built.
The request path is deliberately boring — that's the point:
- Static pageAstro-rendered HTML, CSS, fonts
- Editor islandReact hydrates only the tool you opened
- Local storageTheme + optional history stay on device
Paste → parse → transform → render. Your document itself never crosses the arrow.
Because there is no application server, your data can't leak through one — and pages load and stay interactive quickly. The project is developed in the open onGitHub, and questions, bug reports and feature requests are welcome there.
